
Dynamically treat Lymphedema with the Sequential Circulator
Qualifying Pneumatic Compression Devices for Medicare and/or Private Insurance.
To Qualify, Physician notes must document:
Lymphedema/Edema:
Diagnosis: Lymphedema/Secondary Lymphedema (CVI)
Date of onset of swelling: At least four (4) weeks
Persistence of Lymphedema: As identified with at least one of the following:
Date of onset of swelling: At least four (4) weeks
Persistence of Lymphedema: As identified with at least one of the following:
- Discoloration, blisters, cellulitis or measurements.
Patient has completed at least four (4) weeks of failed conservative therapies:
- Appropriate compression bandaging or stockings
- Elevation
- Exercise/Walking
- Lymphatic overload/swelling continues after conservative therapies
Venous Stasis Ulcers:
Diagnosis: History of CVI with non-healing VLU after 6 months of failed treatments
Persistence of VLU: as identified with length of time, location, and measurements
Persistence of VLU: as identified with length of time, location, and measurements
Patient has completed at least six (6) months of failed conservative therapies:
- Appropriate compression bandaging or stockings
- Elevation
- Continues to exhibit symptoms following therapies
- Exercise/Walking
- Wound Care
Specifying these parameters will help meet insurance requirements in qualifying for the Pneumatic Compression devices.
